From Guru to SIGR

Pattern Maker Staff

Tai Bui

Tai Bui is a 6-year-experienced Pattern Maker currently living in Hau Nghia, Long An province, and working at a factory for the past year. His job involves using a computer to arrange technical flat pattern drawings on fabric rolls for pattern cutters. Initially drawn to the profession out of interest, it has since become his passion, aligning with his patient, detail-oriented, and careful personality. Tai values the independent nature of his work, which suits his introverted nature. Outside of work, he enjoys resting and personal downtime to recharge for the week ahead.

Pattern Maker Staff

Vuong Tran

Vuong Tran, the Pattern Cutter Manager, lives in Duc Hoa, Long An province. With 11 years of experience in the cutting department, he has worked at his current company for nearly a year, a position he obtained through his older brother’s recommendation. His responsibilities include receiving production orders, coordinating the cutting department, delegating tasks, and ensuring precise material cutting to support smooth production stages. Passionate about his work, Vuong values its importance in the production flow. He appreciates the supportive management, collaborative team environment, and guidance offered at his workplace. In his free time, he focuses on his family, enjoying outings or quality time at home with his spouse and children.

Sampling Staff

Ha Nguyen

Ha Nguyen, a Sampling Staff member, resides in Duc Hoa, Long An province. With over 10 years of experience in sewing, she recently joined her current factory a few months ago. Her role involves creating samples for customers to review and approve, a job she finds fulfilling due to her interest in sewing and the training she received to refine her skills. Financial stability motivates her to excel in her work, which requires patience, carefulness, and attention to detail to meet high standards. In her limited free time, Ha enjoys relaxing and unwinding.

Endline Quality Control Staff

An Nguyen, an Endline Quality Control Staff member, lives in Duc Hoa, Long An province. With years of experience in quality control, she has been working at her current factory for 7 months. Her role involves inspecting output items such as zippers, prints, and materials to ensure they meet quality standards. Sewing Senior

Nhung Le

Nhung Le, a Sewing Senior, lives in Duc Hoa, Long An province. With over 10 years of experience in the sewing and garment industry, she has been in her current role for about a year, where she mainly sews the outer facings of bags. She chose this job due to its good salary, the proximity to her home, and the supportive management and colleagues. This job is especially important to her as she needs a stable income to support her two daughters’ university education and family expenses. Nhung enjoys using her sewing expertise to create high-quality garments and appreciates the positive work environment. Khang Ho, a Sewing Leader, resides in Long An province and has been with his factory for 7-8 years, since its establishment. His role involves overseeing the sewing process to ensure all items meet quality standards. With formal training in sewing and a passion for factory work, he has dedicated many years to this field. Khang values his position as it holds responsibility for the sewing quality, which reflects the factory’s reputation. He believes in being gentle and considerate with his team to reduce pressure and boost productivity. During his free time, he enjoys resting and sleeping to recharge for work.

Sewing Junior

Man Nguyen, a Sewing Junior, resides in Duc Hoa, Long An province. In her first job, she has been sewing pockets onto garments for about six months. She chose this role due to the company’s supportive and comfortable work environment, where she received thorough training despite having no prior experience. Man values her contribution to producing high-quality final products, finding satisfaction in creating well-made garments. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing, recharging, and indulging in good food after a hard day’s work.

Sewing Helper

Ha Nguyen

Ngan Nguyen, a Helper, resides in Hau Nghia, Long An province. She has been working in her current role for four months, supporting the main production line with tasks like pulling zippers, trimming excess thread, and cleaning up. After attending vocational school for garment industry training, she was introduced to this job by an acquaintance. Despite handling smaller tasks, she considers her role integral to the overall production process. Ngan values her friendly and sociable colleagues, who create a comfortable work environment. During her free time, she enjoys relaxing, resting, and enjoying meals to recharge after a long workday.

Trung Nguyen, a Warehouse Manager, lives near his factory. He has been in his current role for a year, with four years of prior experience working for large companies in the industry. Having studied fashion design and worked as a Korean translator for a handbag firm, Trung developed a strong interest in bag-producing materials. His current job is crucial for ensuring that raw materials are delivered on time and meet quality and quantity standards, which is vital for the factory’s manufacturing process and reputation. He enjoys learning about raw materials and building relationships with suppliers. In his free time, Trung focuses on his family and engages in layout design work.

Pattern Cutter Manager

Vuong Tran, the Pattern Cutter Manager, lives in Duc Hoa, Long An province. With 11 years of experience in the cutting department, he has been with his current company for 11 months, having been introduced by his older brother. Nghiep Nguyen

Nghiep transitioned from a career in Information Technology to work at the handbag factory, where he initially joined the Quality Assurance department before being appointed as Operation Manager. Block Manager

Xuan Nguyen

The Block Manager (referred to as the foreman) lives in Cu Chi, Ho Chi Minh City, and has been with the factory since its inception. With extensive experience in the field, including work at large corporations, they are well-suited for the role, which aligns with their personality and expertise. As the only person in this position at the factory, they understand the impact their performance has on the factory’s long-term growth and strive to improve daily. The most rewarding aspect of the job is seeing the finished products and receiving positive customer feedback, which helps create more jobs for the local community. In their free time, they enjoy working out, traveling, and look forward to the company’s annual trip.

Merchandiser Staff

Thanh Do

Thanh Do, a Merchandiser Staff based in District 4, Ho Chi Minh City, has been with the company since 2018. She began her career in sewing before transitioning to the merchandising role, where she is responsible for answering customer emails, monitoring orders, and liaising with the sample department regarding customer requirements. Thanh chose this job due to her passion for the industry, and through her work, she has gained valuable experience in buying, communication, and logistics. She values the position as it bridges the gap between staff and customers. Thanh enjoys interacting with customers and appreciates the supportive work environment where she can grow and learn. Outside of work, she is passionate about handbag design and spends her free time learning new skills related to pattern making and 3D drawing, with the goal of starting her own handbag business in the future.

Local Sales Manager

Linh Vo
